The Strategic Management Planning Program (STMP) will help the City of Easton fund projects to upgrade the city’s software and technology.
Bethlehem (Aug 27) – State Senator Lisa Boscola (D-Lehigh/Northampton) announced today the approval of $200,000 in state funding through the Strategic Management Planning Program (STMP) to help the City of Easton develop a plan that will strengthen their financial capacity.
The STMP provides matching grant funds of up to $200,000 to help local governments experiencing financial issues develop comprehensive multi-year financial plans and establish short- and long-term financial objectives.
Boscola said, “Keeping our local governments in strong financial health ensures they can continue to support the people who live and work in our communities while positioning them to compete for important investments. I commend the Commonwealth for being committed to supporting our local governments by investing in their financial future.”

Recipients in the 18th District include:
Northampton County – $200,000 to the City of Easton to upgrade the city’s software and technology to manage financial data, facilitate financial reporting, and improve operations.
“These investments help local governments responsibly manage their finances, maintain essential services, keep the lights on, and continue growing while maintaining a strong financial footing,” Boscola stated.
The 2026-27 bipartisan budget, signed into law by Governor Shapiro, included strategic investments that will increase Pennsylvania’s competitiveness, strengthen communities, and boost the economy.
