Bethlehem, April 21, 2021 – – State Senator Lisa Boscola announced today state funding has been approved for two important transportation projects in the Lehigh Valley for the South 2nd Street project in Emmaus and the Transportation Infrastructure Improvements as part of the Majestic Airport Center in Hanover Township, Northampton County.           

“I’m pleased to announce the approval of these funds to help expedite important projects that will improve the quality of life and help create jobs and economic opportunities throughout the Lehigh Valley,” Boscola said. “It was pleasure to work alongside my colleagues in the Senate and House of Representatives to secure this needed funding.”

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved the following Lehigh Valley projects:

  • Borough of Emmaus South 2nd Street Project: $575,000;
  • Majestic Realty for the Transportation Infrastructure – Majestic Airport Center-Lehigh Valley: $1,000,000.

Funding for the project was approved Wednesday by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.  The Multimodal Transportation Fund was created as part of Act 89 to promote economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available throughout the Commonwealth.
