BETHLEHEM (June 12, 2024) – State Senator Lisa M. Boscola announced today that the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) awarded eight grants totaling $1,616,830 to local non-profits and county governments throughout the Lehigh Valley.
“These grant awards will have a positive impact on our region through programs aiding crime victims, programs directed at our youth and programs aiding our counties in the administration of our criminal justice systems,” Senator Boscola stated.
Grants through the programs listed below were approved today by PCCD:
State Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction Funds
- Valley Youth House: Bounce Back for K-5 Students 2024-2026, $195,938
State Endowment Act Funds
- Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley: Services for Victims of child sexual abuse, $100,000
State Violence and Delinquency Prevention Programs
- Lehigh County: Youth Justice Advisory Board Council Pilot, $100,000
Intermediate Punishment Treatment Funds
- Lehigh County: TCAP Intermediate Punishment Treatment, $660,000
- Northampton County: Northampton County IP Program FY 24-25, $265,000
State FY 2023-24 Indigent Defense Grant Funds
- Lehigh County: Lehigh County 23-24 Indigent Defense Program, $101,419
- Northampton County: Northampton County Indigent Defense Services, $98,393
Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Funds
- Lehigh County: Rapid post-mortem toxicology screening at LOCO, $96,080
