Bethlehem, May 14, 2020 – – State Senator. Lisa Boscola and State Representative Steve Samuelson today announced state funding totaling $859,257 for projects in Northampton County through the Local Share Account – Northampton & Lehigh Counties.

“I’m pleased to announce the approval of these grants to help expedite important projects that will improve the quality of life and increase community safety throughout Northampton County,” Boscola said. “The ability for the state to provide needed funding to our local governments through Local Share Account grants is another demonstration of the positive impact that gaming has had in the Lehigh Valley.”

“The Local Share account has had a tremendous impact on enhancing public safety throughout the Lehigh Valley and I am very pleased to see the CFA approve these much needed grants for the City of Bethlehem and Northampton County,” Samuelson stated.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved the following projects located in the 18th Senatorial District:

· City of Bethlehem: $51,574 for Bethlehem Police Equipment;

· City of Bethlehem: $108,737 for Police Department Scales Purchases

· Freemansburg Borough: $73,763 for its Streets Maintenance Program;

· Glendon Borough: $116,954 for Berger Road Stormwater Management and Road Improvements

· Palmer Township: $65,002 for an Advanced Life Support Quick Response Vehicle;

· Stockertown Borough: $39,769 for Police Vehicle Upgrades;

· Tatamy Borough: $19,730 for Technology Upgrades;

· West Easton Borough: $73,000 for Phase II of its Public Works Garage;

· Northampton County: $143,109 for the Forensic Center Lodox Radiology Lab

· North Catasauqua Borough: $145,219 for Main Street Greenway and Trailhead Improvement

· Redevelopment Authority of Easton: $22,400 for Property Acquisition for Park Development

La Cuenta de Participación Local (LSA) de los Condados de Northampton y Lehigh fue creada por la Ley de Desarrollo y Juego de Caballos de Carreras de Pensilvania.
