BETHLEHEM (August 11, 2023) – State Senator Lisa M. Boscola announced today that $405,572 in “Green Light-Go” funding has been awarded to the City of Easton for a critical traffic safety project.
“The Green Light-Go program is an important state program to assist municipalities with needed funding to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals, which are critical for the public safety of motorists and their passengers as well as pedestrians and bicyclists,” Boscola said. “These Green Light-Go funds will make important safety upgrades in the City of Easton through updated signal equipment.”
Easton was awarded $405,572 for updated signal equipment throughout the City.
Created by Act 89 of 2013 and administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the “Green Light–Go Program” provides state funds for the operation and maintenance of traffic signals along critical and designated corridors on state highways. Statewide, 77 municipalities will receive over $35.5 million in funding.
